Course Objective

To strengthen teachers’ digital pedagogy competencies and support the meaningful, responsible integration of artificial intelligence into teaching and learning processes.

Participants explore AI fundamentals, ethical considerations, and hands-on applications while developing practical classroom-ready solutions.

Course Programme

Day 1 – Digital Transformation & AI Foundations

Activities:

  • Impact of modern digital environment on education

  • Inclusive lesson design and emotional safety

  • Introduction to AI fundamentals

  • Machine learning, NLP, computer vision

  • Supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement & generative AI

  • Risks and ethical challenges (bias, privacy, misinformation, academic integrity)

  • Guided tour of Vilnius Old Town (Cultural+ / All-Inclusive packages)

Learning Outcomes:

Participants understand AI foundations, key opportunities and risks, and the role of inclusive digital pedagogy.

Day 2 – Practical Application of AI in Teaching

Activities:

  • Live demonstrations of AI in lesson planning

  • AI for differentiation and feedback

  • Structuring effective prompts

  • Enhancing student motivation through AI tools

  • Responsible integration strategies

  • Overview of effective digital teaching tools

Learning Outcomes:

Participants confidently apply AI tools for lesson planning, assessment support and student engagement.

Day 3 – Creating AI Teaching Assistants

Activities:

  • Designing structured AI prompts (roles, objectives, formats)

  • Analysing strong and weak prompt examples

  • Developing AI assistants for:

    • Lesson planning

    • Differentiated tasks

    • Feedback

    • Assessment rubrics

    • Student reflection

  • Ethical AI use reflection session

Learning Outcomes:

Participants develop ready-to-use AI assistants tailored to their classroom needs.

Day 4 – Study Visit & Implementation Planning

Activities:

  • Study visit to a leading school in Vilnius

  • Observation of AI-supported lessons

  • Analysis of digital platforms and AI tools in practice

  • Reflection with host teachers

  • Development of individual action plans

  • Farewell dinner at “La Bohema” (Cultural+ / All-Inclusive packages)

Learning Outcomes:

Participants develop concrete implementation plans for digital pedagogy and AI integration in their schools.

Day 5 – Cultural Learning Experience (Optional Package)

Activity:

  • Full-day study visit to Trakai

  • Visit to Trakai Island Castle

  • Cultural reflection and networking

Rytis Komičius

school principal, Director of the Educational Leadership Programme at ISM University of Management and Economics, and doctoral researcher in educational leadership. He is an experienced education leader specialising in International Baccalaureate programme implementation, school transformation, and innovative learning environments. Rytis is an active speaker at national and international conferences, leading workshops on digital pedagogy, artificial intelligence in education, and future-oriented leadership.

In 2024, he was awarded the Vilnius City “School Leader of the Year” prize for his contribution to educational innovation and community development.
